The search of a young woman of her true, cultural roots and spiritual heritage.
Sofie Martens finds out that she is an adopted child. She starts the quest of her family of origin and recover it at her grandmother´s place, her blood relative. Náddjá is descending from the Sapni Tradition and she is a Noaide; a shaman; a keeper of wisdom. During Sofie´s seek, she has an encounter with a man, who stole the drum of her grandmother. She has to reclaim it because it is not just about the drum but also about the recuperation of her own, buried gift, which is deeply rooted in the sapni tradition, a healing power, which is directly descending from the lineage of women in her family of origin. If she cannot comply this task, she will die. Sofie has to trust in a force which is more powerful than her and that everything has a greater purpose. And sometimes not just only for herself but rather for her whole community.
